Soup (v) - Homemade cream of winter vegetable soup, served with a warm crusty roll and butter.
Paté - Smooth chicken liver paté served with red onion marmalade, salad garnish, savoury biscuits and warm brown toast.
Prawn, crayfish and asparagus cocktail - North Atlantic prawns and crayfish tails smothered in a Marie Rose sauce served on freshly sliced iceberg lettuce and topped with asparagus tips.
Smoked mackerel salad - A fillet of smoked mackerel garnished with salad and served with a mayonnaise and English mustard dressing.
MAIN COURSES
Turkey – Roast crown of turkey with sage & onion stuffing, accompanied with bacon wrapped chipolata sausages, roast and Duchess potatoes, cranberry sauce, pan roasted gravy and a trio of steaming seasonal fresh vegetables.
Pork medallions - Pork loin medallions pan-fried and served on a bed of mash served with a chilli, garlic & tomato sauce and seasonal vegetables.
Breast of chicken - Pan fried chicken served with sliced chestnut mushrooms and a red wine jus, vegetables & buttered new potatoes.
Braised beef - Chunks of north west beef braised with Guinness, button onions and crushed walnuts served with vegetables and mashed potatoes.
Mushroom linguine (v) - Sliced mushrooms, blue Stilton, white wine and cream combined with freshly cooked linguine and topped with fresh basil.
DESSERTS
Individual Christmas pudding - Served with a warm brandy sauce.
Chocolate fudge cake - Served hot with cream or ice cream.
